Sheriff Sol Redding finds himself in all sorts of trouble when he gets in the middle of a dispute between a prospector and a woman about stolen gold.
This is a witty and fun cowboy tale that races along at a frantic pace and really feels like watching an old western movie or one of the TV shows of my youth. Think ‘Rawhide’ or ‘Bonanza’ or even ‘High Noon.’ There is also an element of ‘Blazing Saddles’ lurking in the background. 
The language that Sol and his cohorts use instead of traditional swearing is really fun and feels like it fits with the Wild West era.
All-in-all this was a really fun read that would interest anyone with a fondness for Westerns or just a desire to be entertained.

The story is action packed from the very start. Seems like everyone has a beef with the sheriff and they are not afraid to express it, often with a six shooter… It also contains humor and guiding wisdom: “If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.”

…Certainly brings some relief from the more intense stories one might read.

This is the first book I read from this author and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The ending of this book.. come on! I just didn´t expect it!

Decent read but full of strange language for cursing. Good news is there is no real cursing and the violence is mostly action but with some blood and guts thrown in. This one is not as good as the other Redding books but is you keep humor in mind, you might like it just fine.
